Our purpose
We envision a compassionate community where every companion animal has access to food, medical care, and humane treatment—and no animal suffers from neglect or abandonment. In Cimarron and surrounding communities, we work toward that vision through compassionate care, education, outreach, and community support.
How it began
CAAT began in 2025 when Cimarron-area neighbors organized around a need for local animal-welfare support. The effort grew from volunteer conversations into a way to connect people with practical help.
What guides us
Compassion for animals, community cooperation, careful stewardship of resources, education, and openness about what CAAT can do shape the group's work. See the current assistance areas, or go straight to Get Help.
CAAT supports people caring for pets and community cats through food support, veterinary and spay/neuter assistance, and trap-neuter-return. We are not an animal shelter or rescue.
Meet the team
Neighbors give their time and skills to keep CAAT moving. Meet the people behind the work.
